Former Kogi State senator Dino Melaye told listeners of the KAA Truths podcast in August 2026 that he possesses more than 200 automobiles and has never been awarded any contract by the federal or state government.
He took issue with comments from Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who praised President Bola Tinubu’s handling of the country. Melaye argued that praising the government is hard to reconcile with the persistent insecurity, kidnappings and killings across Nigeria, and hinted that ethnic considerations might be influencing Adeboye’s stance.
Melaye also criticised the rapid growth of churches, recalling a recent visit to Ibadan where he saw a six‑storey building housing about 40 churches. He said the prevalence of churches over industries signals a deeper economic problem and that the nation needs more productive economic activity.
He added that his counsel will provide further details on how he accumulated his wealth, and noted that despite already owning over 200 cars, he continues to add to his collection.
