Victor Ikpe, who goes by the name Keivo, was expelled from the eleventh season of Big Brother Naija after a physical confrontation with fellow housemate Tram, an announcement made by Big Brother on Tuesday.
The production team reviewed video evidence, determined that Keivo initiated the violence, and stated that such behavior would not be tolerated, leading to his disqualification from the competition.
The dispute originated on Monday when Tram accused Keivo of taking his black shirt; Keivo replied that he owned a similar one, and the argument escalated when he was labeled a thief, prompting him to throw the first punch before other contestants intervened.
Security staff then entered the house after being told to freeze, escorted Keivo out, and he left visibly upset, saying the matter was about the theft accusation and expressing concern over how it might affect his reputation; his name had also vanished from the official voting platform earlier that day.
The programme’s finale is scheduled for 4 October, with the champion set to win a grand prize of ₦160 million.
