Lagos Police Declare Sowore Wanted
The Lagos State Police Command has declared activist Omoyele Sowore wanted following allegations that he was planning to incite public disorder in the state. Authorities claim Sowore was involved in activities that could disrupt public peace.
The Police stated that efforts to contact him have been unsuccessful, prompting the issuance of a wanted notice to facilitate his arrest.

In an official statement, the Lagos Police said:
“The Command has declared Omoyele Sowore wanted over his alleged involvement in acts likely to incite public disorder. Members of the public are advised to report any information regarding his whereabouts to the nearest police station.”
Sowore’s Previous Activism
Omoyele Sowore, known for his role as a political activist and founder of Sahara Reporters, has previously been involved in protests and campaigns advocating for good governance and social reforms. The current notice comes amid ongoing tensions surrounding political activism in Lagos.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and avoid participating in unlawful gatherings, stressing that public safety remains their top priority.
