Influencer Jima Emmanuel says she won’t date poor men, claiming even her dreams revolve around money

Jima Emmanuel, a social media influencer, sparked a wave of online commentary after a video in which she declared she would only consider a partner who is financially secure, dismissing any interest in a poor man.

In the clip she outlined what she described as high monetary expectations, stating that if someone gave her ₦1 million she would want ₦2 million the next day, and if given ₦2 million she would then ask for ₦3‑5 million, adding that she is “never satisfied” and therefore needs a partner with ample resources.

Emmanuel told men who disagreed with her stance to focus on improving their own finances rather than criticizing her preference, noting that she even dreams about money and “doesn’t care” about poverty.

The video quickly spread across platforms, drawing mixed reactions. One commenter praised her honesty, while another warned that her claim of never being satisfied could be a “red flag.”
