Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Sanku Comedy, was involved in a devastating car accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Ibadan early Monday morning. The crash, which left the vehicle wrecked in a ditch, quickly went viral on social media, with videos showing the severity of the incident.
Sanku, who was traveling with a friend, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, reports later confirmed that both Sanku and his companion succumbed to their injuries a few hours after being admitted.
Known for his unique storytelling and comedic flair, Sanku began his journey in content creation back in 2021 and quickly became a beloved figure in Nigeria’s entertainment space. Fans and fellow entertainers have flooded social media with tributes, mourning the loss of such a vibrant talent.
Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa shared her heartbreak over the tragedy, recounting how she prayed for his recovery after sending someone to check on him at Bowen Hospital. Despite initial hopes that he was responding to treatment, the comedian eventually passed on.
