Woman says she will never forget drinking kerosene after returning from school

A Nigerian woman identified on X as @PeculiarpearlE shared that she mistakenly drank kerosene, thinking it was water, right after coming home from school.

She collapsed shortly after ingesting the fuel, prompting nearby neighbours to rush her to the closest hospital where she recovered within a short period.

The incident led her mother to stop purchasing kerosene and to avoid storing it in a keg. The woman expressed thanks for surviving, stating, “I eventually became fine. Ever since that day, my mum never bought or stored kerosene inside a keg again. I’m just grateful to God for life”.
