A Nigerian bride says she hired Instagram‑based decorator EventByMuse for her wedding, paid a total of ₦300,000, and the service provider failed to turn up on the ceremony day.
She told that the first half of the fee, ₦150,000, was paid upfront and the remaining ₦150,000 was sent later to complete the agreed amount. The decorator was supposed to arrive at the venue in the morning, but the bride received no response to her calls and messages, leaving her distressed on what should have been a happy day.
With the decorator absent, the wedding venue remained undecorated, and guests had to improvise to make the space look presentable. The bride also alleges that the decorator collected an additional ₦5,000 per guest for table arrangements, yet still did not provide any decoration.
In a video shared on social media, the bride expressed her frustration, saying she got no call, no decoration, and that the day was ruined. She posted screenshots of payment receipts and chat logs, inviting online users to comment on whether it is acceptable for a service provider to keep the full payment and extra table charges without delivering the promised service.
