Popular Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo has issued a stern warning to an unidentified Facebook user allegedly impersonating her and using her name to deceive unsuspecting fans.
The movie star took to her official social media page to express anger over the ongoing impersonation, making it clear that she has no connection with the fake Facebook account that has been posting misleading content in her name.
“Please, ignore any Facebook account using my name or photos to scam people. I only have one verified page, and I’m not responsible for whatever anyone does with a fake profile. Stop using my name to deceive people!” Iyabo Ojo warned.
The actress further cautioned her followers to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to online fraudsters who create fake profiles of celebrities to extort money or spread false information.
Many fans have since taken to the comment section to show support, urging others to report the impersonator and follow only verified accounts linked to the actress.
Iyabo Ojo, known for her outspoken personality and advocacy against online scams, emphasized that legal action will be taken if the impersonation continues.
