Jonathan to Keyamo, Odinkalu: Stay Out of My Political Affairs
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has sent a clear message to Festus Keyamo and Chidi Odinkalu, telling them to steer clear of his political decisions and future plans. Jonathan, who has recently been at the center of political speculation regarding the 2027 elections, addressed the duo in a statement on Monday.
“Let me make this very clear—I do not need unsolicited advice or interference in my political journey,” Jonathan said, responding to comments made by Keyamo and Odinkalu about his alleged plans to re-enter the political arena.
Keyamo, a senior lawyer and APC chieftain, had earlier criticized Jonathan’s potential return to active politics, while Odinkalu, a human rights advocate, also weighed in, questioning the former president’s intentions.
Jonathan, however, dismissed their remarks, urging them to focus on their own affairs. “My decisions are personal and are made in consultation with my supporters and well-wishers. I will not be distracted by external noise,” he added.
His response has reignited debates about his political future, with many Nigerians wondering if Jonathan plans to make a dramatic comeback in 2027. For now, though, the former president seems determined to keep his cards close to his chest.
