I’m Staying With APC” — Ex-Minister Badaru Denies Defection Rum
Former minister Mohammed Badaru denies rumours of leaving the APC, insisting he remains loyal to the ruling party and urging the public to ignore speculation.

Former minister Mohammed Badaru has dismissed reports suggesting that he has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the claims as false and misleading.
Speaking through his media aides, Badaru clarified that he remains a committed member of the ruling party and has no plans to leave. He urged the public to disregard rumours making the rounds on social media and some political platforms.
According to him, the speculation may have been fueled by recent political realignments and consultations, but he stressed that such engagements should not be misinterpreted as defection. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and its leadership.
Badaru also called on party supporters to stay focused and avoid being distracted by unfounded reports, emphasizing the need for unity as the party continues to pursue its governance and reform agenda.
The clarification has helped calm political observers who had questioned the potential impact of a defection on party dynamics.
