Sources within the presidency revealed that Tinubu had a packed day of official engagements, including hosting WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the Presidential Villa, which might have led to the adjustment in his travel plans.
Though no official confirmation has been issued yet, Tinubu’s itinerary includes a stopover in Dubai before heading to Japan for the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama, where he’s set to participate in plenary sessions and meet with Japanese officials and business leaders. After Japan, he’s expected to continue to Brazil for a state visit.
