Dancer and hype man Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has reportedly been freed from a United Kingdom prison, according to content creator Peller. His detention stemmed from accusations of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The allegations were filed at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, which also placed a reporting restriction to protect the complainant’s identity. Poco Lee travelled to the UK in August to appear at the Davido and Friends event held at Crystal Palace Bowl on 14 August, and reports of his arrest emerged a few days after the concert. He was subsequently held in custody while his case was prepared for plea and trial at the same court.
Peller earlier disclosed that he had sought the help of Pastor Tobi to secure Poco Lee’s release and was told that Burna Boy was already handling the matter. In a later update, he asserted that the woman who brought the case against Poco Lee withdrew her complaint, which he said resulted in his release.
Quoting his statement, Peller said the complainant “ran away from the case” and added that “God will bless her,” emphasizing that the withdrawal of the allegation led to Poco Lee’s freedom.
