Verydarkman urges Davido to keep up anti‑APC activism ahead of 2027 elections

Nigerian social media activist known as Verydarkman has appealed to Afrobeats star Davido to maintain the level of political activism he showed while campaigning for his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, as the country heads toward the 2027 general elections.

Verydarkman pointed out that Davido was outspoken in criticizing the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the Osun governorship race, where he supported his uncle’s campaign, and now questions the singer’s current relationship with the party. He urged Davido to use his platform to speak against the APC if Nigerians are growing tired of the party before the 2027 polls.

In a tweet dated August 21, 2026, Verydarkman wrote that he will be waiting for Davido’s voice to be “loud” in the 2027 elections, encouraging the artist to tell voters not to back the APC and to repeat his earlier anti‑APC stance.

The activist’s message highlighted Davido’s previous active social‑media involvement during the Osun election and called for a similarly strong public position in the upcoming national contest.
