Real Madrid Set to Release Antonio Rudiger After Training Ground Clash with Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid is reportedly preparing to part ways with German defender Antonio Rudiger at the end of the 2025/26 season. The decision comes amidst concerns over his form, fitness, and a hefty salary, as well as a reported training ground altercation with teammate Jude Bellingham.
The clash, which occurred ahead of last season’s Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal, saw tensions flare after Rudiger’s aggressive tackle on Bellingham during a small-sided game. The two players had to be separated by teammates, though the incident was later downplayed by Bellingham, who called it a normal part of football.
Rudiger joined Real Madrid in 2022 from Chelsea and has been a key figure, making over 150 appearances and helping the club secure eight trophies. However, with manager Xabi Alonso reportedly unimpressed by his recent performances and the emergence of younger defensive options like Dean Huijsen, Rudiger’s time at the Bernabeu appears to be nearing its end.
The club is now looking to revamp its defense for the next season, with Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate rumored to be their top target
