Tinubu Administration Reveals Theme for Nigeria’s 65th Independence Celebration

The Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has unveiled the official theme for this year’s Independence Day anniversary: _“Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”_ The announcement was made in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The theme highlights the importance of unity, collaboration, and patriotism across all sectors—public, private, civil society, and among everyday citizens. It reflects Nigeria’s resilience since independence in 1960 and aims to inspire collective efforts toward sustainable peace, prosperity, and progress under the _Renewed Hope Agenda_.
Activities marking the occasion include a Juma’at Prayer on Friday, September 26, an interdenominational church service on Sunday, September 28, and a World Press Conference on Monday, September 29. These events are designed to reinforce the message of togetherness and shared responsibility in building a stronger nation.
The government has called on ministries, agencies, and partners to align their programs with the theme, ensuring it resonates nationwide and underscores the need for collaborative action to achieve greater national goals.
