Power Supply Restored After National Grid Collapse – NISO
NISO confirms restoration of electricity supply nationwide after the recent national grid collapse, assuring Nigerians of improved system stability.

Electricity supply has been restored across parts of the country following the recent collapse of the national power grid, according to the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, NISO confirmed that the grid disturbance, which led to widespread power outages, had been successfully resolved after engineers carried out emergency stabilization and restoration processes.
The system operator explained that affected generation companies and transmission facilities were brought back online gradually to ensure stability and prevent further disruptions. Power distribution companies have also been directed to restore supply to consumers in phases.
NISO apologized to Nigerians for the inconvenience caused by the outage and assured the public that measures are being strengthened to improve grid reliability and reduce the frequency of collapses.
The latest restoration has brought relief to households and businesses that were impacted by the blackout, though concerns remain over the recurring challenges facing Nigeria’s power sector.
