Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest stay winless after a 0‑0 draw at the City Ground

Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest remain without a Premier League victory after playing out a goalless draw at the City Ground.

Both sides failed to secure a victory in their third Premier League match, with Tottenham under Roberto de Zerbi still searching for a win despite splurging more than £350 million in the summer window. The goalless stalemate left the London club and Forest without points from three games.

A major talking point was the disallowed goal for Forest when Neco Williams appeared to score, only for the referee to rule the ball had been played with a defender’s arm. The decision upset the home crowd, who felt the team was denied a legitimate breakthrough. Earlier, Oliver Glasner introduced £50 million striker Liam Delap on his home debut, yet Forest have yet to find the net this season.

Tottenham’s offensive output remained limited, with their first shot on target coming in the 81st minute via Pedro Porro, whose effort offered little danger to Matz Sels. Earlier chances included a headed miss by Micky van de Ven and a through‑ball chance for new signing Omar Marmoush that ended wide after he was penalised for a foul. Savio, another recent arrival, was taken off after an hour as the team struggled to translate possession into clear chances. Richarlison, who netted 12 league goals last season, was omitted from the Premier League squad and is expected to depart, adding pressure on Tottenham’s fresh attacking options.
