“I won’t lie, I do drugs, but I’m not mad” — Distressed lady reveals

A woman identified as Chisom has appealed for help in a viral video, sharing an emotional account of her struggles with drug addiction, family issues, and financial hardship.

Wrapped in a wrapper and appearing distressed, the woman introduced herself as Chisom.

She said her mother died in 2013 and claimed she was her mother’s only child. According to her, her father later remarried and had other children.

Chisom opens up about drug addiction

In the video, Chisom admitted that she uses “mkpurumiri”, a street name commonly used in Nigeria for crystal methamphetamine. However, she insisted that she was not mentally ill despite her addiction.

She alleged that her late mother’s elder brother introduced her to the drug, adding that she has struggled to stop using it.

“To be honest with you, I do take drugs, which is what they call in Nigeria, mkpurumiri. But I am not mad,” she said.

She also claimed she had travelled to countries including Senegal and Mali while working for a woman she referred to as her madam.

Claims of stolen ATM card and failed police complaint

Chisom further alleged that while selling sachet water in Owerri, her ATM card was stolen. She said she reported the incident to the police but was advised to block the card instead.

According to her, a commercial motorcycle rider took her to a UBA branch, where she successfully blocked the card. She added that her bank account was originally opened in Orlu.

The woman also mentioned a man identified only as “Alampa” while recounting the incident, although the exact nature of his involvement was unclear.

Appeals to locate her father

Towards the end of the video, Chisom made an emotional appeal, asking anyone with information about her father’s whereabouts to help reconnect them.

She also disclosed that she has a daughter in Enugu, born in 2015, and said she had undergone surgery during childbirth.

Overwhelmed by her situation, she ended the video with a plea for assistance.

“Please, I need to know where my father is… Please, I’m tired of this,” she said.
