In a recent live session, Blessing CEO appeared to mock the deceased, saying that “if her spirit was strong, she wouldn’t have died,” while also defending IVD against long-standing domestic violence allegations.

“Bimbo’s Death Was Not IVD’s Fault” — Blessing CEO

During the session, Blessing CEO insisted that IVD was not responsible for his wife’s tragic death, maintaining that Bimbo’s actions led to the fatal incident.

“Bimbo wasn’t a victim. She chose violence, and if her spirit was strong, she wouldn’t have died,” she said, drawing gasps and angry reactions from viewers.

Her comments have been widely condemned by women’s rights advocates and social media users, many of whom accused her of being insensitive and disrespectful toward the dead.

Public Backlash and Renewed Debate

Following the viral clip, several celebrities and online activists have called for Blessing CEO to apologize publicly, while others questioned why she continues to comment on the IVD-Bimbo saga, despite previous warnings.

Bimbo Ogbonna passed away in 2022 after suffering severe burns allegedly resulting from a domestic altercation at the couple’s home. The incident drew national attention and reignited calls for stronger action against domestic violence in Nigeria.
