FBI Releases Photos of Suspect in Charlie Kirk Assassination
The FBI has unveiled surveillance images of a man believed to be the shooter in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. The suspect, described as being of college age, was seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with an American flag design, a black cap, sunglasses, and blue jeans.
Authorities say the suspect fired a single shot from a rooftop about 200 yards away, fatally striking Kirk in the neck while he was addressing a crowd of about 3,000 attendees. After the shooting, the man reportedly fled by jumping off the building and disappearing into a nearby neighborhood.
Investigators have recovered what they believe to be the murder weapon—a high-powered bolt-action rifle—found abandoned in a wooded area along the suspect’s escape route. The FBI is urging the public to help identify the individual, offering a $100,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest.
This shocking incident, described by Utah Governor Spencer Cox as a “political assassination,” has sent waves of grief and outrage across the U.S., with many calling for justice to be served swiftly.
